A CORE DRILL<\/strong> is made of two elements: the steel frame with its coupling nut and the diamant segments (a mixture of diamonds and a metal bond).<\/p>\n

The segments can be welded on the frame with silver wire braces or by laser. A laser welding is the strongest and more accurate. It is performed using a very advanced technology, requiring a very high quality in the materials to weld, both the segment and the metal body of the core drill (the frame).<\/p>\n

DIAMOND<\/strong> drilling allows very accurate drilling and without chipping the materials. It can be done vertically or horizontally, and also slanted.<\/p>\n

In any case, core drilling will reduce the drilling total time. Whether to use dry or wet drilling depends on the type of material and the depth to be reached. In materials such as concrete (reinforced or otherwise), a wet drilling (with water) is strongly recommended. Wet drilling typically will be faster and will extend the segments life.<\/p>\n

For small drilling jobs it is possible to use dry drilling. But it will eat the segment faster and perform a slower drilling.<\/p>\n

  • Intensive drilling on highly abrasive hard or green old or reinforced concrete.<\/li>\n
  • In pipes holes (water, gas, electricity pipes) and all kind of circular hole (air conditioning or heating, placing electric boards, opening windows and doors, extracting samples (concrete, asphalte), gas extraction or air ventilation pipes, etc.<\/li>\n
  • Good performance on asphalt drilling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
